Hello,

I am new to this group and have been diagnosed with thoracic outlet syndrome. My doctor here in Florida wants me to travel to John Hopkins to see Dr. Julie Freischlag. I was wondering if anyone has been to her and could tell me what their experience was like so I would know what to expect.

Thank you.

" Hi Joiedevivre,

I also have TOS, along with PSS, which is Paget–Schroetter syndrome. My situation is a long story. I will not bore you with it as Im sure your pain is equal to mine.

Im writing to stay on topic. I am trying to see Dr. Julie Freischlag as well. I have little time as I am concerned about losing my job. My surgical team in Orlando has recomended rib resectioning, however I have permanent vein damage, so the results may or may not be good. My Dr. (Dr. Patel) gave me Julies name and recommended her.

Do you have an appointment yet> If so, how long did it take you?

Please feel free to write to me at anytime. And please do keep me posted on your progress.

Thanks, Paul
