Did anyone have a dilated vein?

I don't know if I have Thoracic outlet syndrome of any sort yet, but I had a PE in December and am still recovering. I've had a dilated vein in my arm for years now and I've always been very athletic and active. The dilation of the axillary vein seemed to be more noticeable since my PE and so I went to see a vascular surgeon recently to see what might be up? I'm getting an MRI/MRA done this week and I think a blood pressure cuff test to check. Did anyone or does anyone have a noticeable dilated vein as part of the problem?
