I had a left radical orchiectomy in December 2006. Well, now my cancer has returned in my right testicle. So I'm getting ready for the right radical orchiectomy plus radiation and chemo this time. My first time was just radiation. ALSO, my wife of 13 years left me after my first treatment. Why do relationships suffer? She never went to any treatments with me. I went alone.

I am so sorry to hear about your cancer returning. I am a survivor of testicular cancer and it took alot out of me. I was fortunate to have a wife who went with me and stood by me and still does even though our sex life is pretty non existant now because of al I went through. I will keep you in my prayers.

I'm sorry to hear about you getting the cancer back. My husband is currently fighting testicular cancer. I have no clue why wife's leave. I know it's hard to be the spouse also but I could not imagen leaving my husband because if it. My husband had cancer in one testical and in the lymphnodes. He went through all the treatments and was declared clean in March in April they find it in his lungs and liver so now he has gone through chemo again and are getting to rounds of stem cell transplants. I hope for the best for you.

you are not alone. some churches have a divorce recovery class. i went through a divorce and i couldnt hardly stand it. but that class helped because i went through it with dozens of other people. and now i remarried and God gave me a godly wife. we just celebrated 8 yrs. our former spouses left both of us for others and we are determined to make it. i almost died in sept. while in a coma caused by chf. she is a nurse aid and now she is my care giver for life and she is a blessing. lean on Jesus and you will make it.

Hey man. I don't know if any of this will seem helpful.
Just like you and within the same two year time frame I was diagnosed with testicle cancer, I have had both removed like you did. I take Androgel for my testosterone and so far have had a good experience with it, my levels are considered average and everything is still fully functional. Not to say my sex drive is the same as when I had both testicles but it certainly isn't any worse then when I only had one. I was suppose to start another batch of chemo today but I basically had a panic attack shortly after they started the IV. They are going to work with me by sending me out for a second Opinion and seeing if there are any other options. How Have you been since the surgery? what are you taking for testosterone and do you feel that it works well for you?

Soory to hear of your cancer returning. My love of ten years was just diagnosed. They removed right one but he has a mass between his stomach and kidney that is the size of a small loaf of bread. He is starting chemotherapy on Monday five days a week five hours a day then it is short the two weeks in between then back to five days again. We have no clue what we are in for - but I can tell you this I have not missed one of his appointments and could not imagine him going alone. So I am very soory to hear of what you have been thru and are going thru.
