usually the doc can tell there is something there but wont be 100% certain of what it s, i had testicular cancer just over a year ago. the doc will/should send him to have an ultsound, then after that he'll need to see a consultant and then discuss what treatment is the right course of action.
please keep us inform of how things go for him and yourself. p.s i was only 16 when i had it, and it was my left testical aswell.im here if you need anymore advice or if you need anyone to chat to.

My husband was in lot of pain and they took urine and blood but was not totally sure of anything till they took a biopsy. If you need any support or a friend to talk to let me know I understand, I'm in the middle fo the battle.

The first step is for a man to even recognize something is wrong. Good for him for admitting it and going to the doctor. Doctors can be confusing, but ask them to clarify things always always always. Sounds like it is too soon to know much but I hope things go well, and I wish you the best as you support him.

My fiance had cancer 2 years ago now! He had a lot of pain, They took blood and did and U/S he had surgery the following day. They gave him 2 options...either a horrible infection or Cancer! Obviously both ends of the spectrum there! He ended up wit hthe cancer and they did surgery. He had 3 weeks of radiation and has been cancer free since. I know how scared you are! I was there. I cried, We want kids! It all went through my head. The surgery is easy they go home the same day! And I also it doesn't help but that is the most common cancer for men from I think 14-34 around that age! It is the easiest cancer to cure for me! I hope you the best!
Take Care!

I don't have any advice. I can only say my sweetie of 16 years ignored pain and sexual issues. Finally went into the doc when the pain was unbearable and after CT, ultrasound, blod and urin tests he's been diagnosed with testicular cancer in both. The left is being removed on Friday as the mass is larger and the testicle has acsended into the abdomen. They're keeping an eye on the right and expect to remove it in 3-6 months. They are unsure of the type of tumor they are, so post op procedures are unsure. I'm scared and i feel my life is crashing down. We became engaged a fewmonths ago and he wants to wait on wedding plans because he doesn't want me to be responsible for bills. In the past 16 years we never intermingled our finances. I don't think anyone can really give me any positive reinforcement until after surgery is done. I don't think I've ever feltsomiserable, but somehow I always greet him with a smile and encouragement. I just wish I could give myself the same.
