The Bible makes soo many references to homosexuality beind immoral and sinful. But at the end of the day, the Christian God is supposed to be benevolent. And a benevolent God surely wouldn't condemn someone for being happy whilst causing no harm to someone else. Thats the way I see it. You can't help who you are. If God wanted you another way he would have made you another away. Homosexuality is innate. It does no harm to anyone else.. Everyone will have a different perspective on this.. Thats just mine. i don't believe in god, but i used to and here's basically how it is.

in the bible it says that being gay is an abomination. abomination doesn't mean you are going to hell, it just means it's bad. however, it also said that eating shellfish was an abomination.
people choose what they want to believe in the bible.

and also, being gay or bisexual is caused by a chemical in your brain. if we are supposedly made by god, he would have had to put that chemical in your brain. so why would he condemn you for what he caused?
whoever told you or tells you that you will go to hell is close minded and they don't know what they are talking about. it's not bad, it's just how you are. love who you want and be happy. the only people who would so otherwise are angry, close minded, and judgmental.

my parents are hard core conservative. But i don't see how my god can be agianst my happiness. God wants you to be happy and to be yourself. You aren't hurting anyone or yourself by being gay. It just is. Take it from me. I just came out to my parents about being lesbian. i dated guys to cover it up. it isn't worth it.

Would Jesus discriminate?

If god wouldn't let gay people be happy then he's an ass whole and I don't want to go there.

wow i can see everyone here is just the God loving ppl. american15 im 18 and a new found christian...i turned away from the gay life for God. i would like to talk to you further about this issue one on one but for the ppl who are reading this plz let me say one or two things about wht ive read so far...
first of all GOD LOVE ALL HIS CHILDREN
2nd he will not throw you into hell because your gay or bi sexual or a lesbian...
3rd does anyone remember Sodom? the place that was so sinful so anti God that the Lord sent 3 angels to destroy it!!!!!

and please note that he saved the one family in Sodom that ,dispite his sinful life, loved the lord enough to protect his angels by offering his daughters to the men who were tring to rape the angels.

I think it simply boils down to: are you here on earth to please yourself or to please God? Are you here for earthly pleasure of to seek the kingdom of God?

If you are here to please yourself and to seek earthly pleasure...I think you know the answer to that.

However, if you are here on earth, seeking salvation and HIS kingdom, thankful for his daily mercies, grace and unfailing love- then you will try to please him at all costs. The bible is the Word of truth. It blatently states that homosexuality is not pleasing to God. If you seek to please God, sacrifice "your old self" and allow God to have his way with you.

I'm 23/F...i've come to realize that Men are more sensitive than women. Trust me! Some of them are even too sensitive for me. lol. There is hope!

P.S. Keep reading the bible for answers to your doubts. Please do not make any rash decisions and be led by your flesh my dear. Be led by the truth, the way, the life.

I am an older person reading this because i know someone ... ask me to butt out if you wish.

From religious beliefs:
- the power to create life is the greatest power you will ever have
- doing this within marriage gives the life you created life the best protection
- they have a right to live with both natural parents who are not abusing them (i guess im against divorce too)
- there is life after death, and so there is plenty of time to fix our mistakes if we get this one wrong, just do your best

Personal belief:
- I still love my sister, her being gay is likely from experiences she had & not how God created her ... I love her - period
- You are more comfortable with women, you only need reasons for yourself if you are questionning your choice
- family life in a heterosexual relationship has brought me joy. watching my children enter their teen years is scary
- you are growing, its good to question your feelings and openly discuss them with trusted people
- there are good guys out there, they are not all taken ... yet ...

I'll repeat: - there is life after death, and so there is plenty of time to fix our mistakes if we get this one wrong, just do your best. Doing your best is the key, do not purposefully hurt others with your choices & apologize when you realize a mistake happened.

God make man? Or. Did man make God?
Did God create man to have fellowship---
And exactly what kind of fellowship does he have? The invisible?
Or did man create God to feel less small in the vast universe?
Now that does make sense.

As for organized (religion) control I'm just not that into it. Did you know that homosexuality was not only tolerated but accepted before Pope Clement I? It was a common practice. It's been a common practice since the beginning of recorded history. There's nothing new under the sun except little Jimmy's willy.

I think you should do whatever your conscience tells you. Remember that, like doctors, your first commandment is to do no harm.

Personally speaking, I can't see touching a girl ever again....YUK! (no offense). They is nothing more confusing than those utters in front of girls. In another 1000 years if Darwin is correct women might look like boys--loosing their utters--and become more attractive, thanks to baby formula.

I say if you get off more licking a clit by all means lick. Besides, how many licks does it take to get to the center of happiness? The world may never know.

OH, and one more thing. Don't you think that it is funny that if being gay and having same sex pleasure was soooo wrong that Jesus would have condemned it to the people? He condemned other things without fear. BUT IN ALL OF THE BIBLE YOU WILL NEVER FIND JESUS CONDEMNING HOMOSEXUALITY IN HIS OWN WORDS. WHY NOT? Could it be because the message is LOVE?

And what exactly happened with King David and Jonathan? I can't wait to ask him!
