female I haven't actually been diagnosed by a professional, but I've had panic attacks and I have a lot of anxiety sometimes. What triggers it is usually my brother being home, my parents, my girlfriend used to when I didn't know if she was okay and I would worry a lot, and sometimes my school work does. No medicine for it. I went to therapy for a few months last year and the beginning of this year but I stopped going in like March or April I think, but I lied a lot so it wasn't very progressive. Usually music calms me down, or crying. I calm down after I cry because it drains me. And my girlfriend does an amazing job at calming me down even though she's so far away. Oh and riding quad always makes me feel better but I don't do it that often anymore. favorite things to do...I want to start writing again, and take up playing the guitar. I love photography too but am currently without a camera =/

Hi, I'm Tessa and 18
I was diagnosed just recently. Mainly what triggers my anxiety is just being in a social setting with people I don't know. My therapist says that it's a social phobia, or social anxiety. I get really stressed out if I have to go anywhere by myself, even if it's just to the store. And also writing In-Class Essays, stresses me out a lot. I'm not on any medicines yet, but my therapist was talking about some recently. I probably won't start anything though since I don't like taking anything stronger than an Advil. I am in therapy, but only once every two weeks. Basically the only thing that calms me down when I'm stressing out is to find someone I know, or to leave wherever I am. I've had to leave several big events before just from too many people being there. Also if I have to be somewhere it helps for me to read a book or write in my journal.
