My TMJ story...

I had my first open join procedure when I was 14 (I am 41 now...how time flies!). From there, I had 4 open joint proceedures and 5 arthroscopies. Finally, 5 years ago, I had a total joint replacement with a TMJ concepts joint. It was my salvation. I do not clench or grind (never have), my problem was a birth defect. I only have the joint replacement on one side, I have never had trouble with the other side, but I am so happy that I did the replacement and wish I had done it earlier.
Anyway, I am Laura and if you have any questions about surgeries, I probably know the answers, because I have been through it all! Purrs--Laura Posted on 10/13/09, 05:10 pm |
