" Ok well you are new to this hellish roller coaster so let's start simple. Nathan was my only son, so i was like you, my whole world stopped. so i started very simple. My goal today is to eat 1 full meal, is to get through a shower without crying..Is to walk the dogs..is to clean the house.....etc.. see where I am going. too much too fast is going to be impossible, overwhelming...and even frustrating if you don't reach them.

After a while you can start going further. plan the whole day. Or go to the grocery store. I suggest Friday nights, there aren't a lot of people.

Then eventually you can start working on the "heeling goal" "excepting goal" but for right now, just work on the "i'm still living" goal "

" Both ladies are so right, it is one step at a time....my first goal was not to slap stupid people...even if they deserve it. I often reinstate that goal. "

" Moosemom gave some great advice...my only daughter was taken to be an angel...and then all of the sudden you are left totally empty...she hit it on the head...the world stops. I totally agree iwth small goals...I made mine to make it through the grocery store without crying...or to drive in the car without crying...I still have to do that on certain days. Be easy on your self "
