the truth is, you CANT stutter while singing. its because your not talking in your normal voice, or even talking. when your voice is in a different tone, its harder to stutter. dont belive me? next time it starts up, speak in a higher or lower voice. i found this remedy while reading a book entitled 'into the lock'.

I don't think stuttering affects the sound of your voice.
However, what I think you mean is, do people stutter when they sing? The answer to that is no. Stutters typically do not stutter while singing.

I'm also a talented soprano and I stutter. But I didn't start stuttering until about 2 years ago, so I don't think there's a connection. Just coincidence.

My brother in law stutters, and when my daughter started stuttering, my husband would actually tell her to sing what she was trying to say... according to him something about the singing part of the mind was supposed to override the stutter? I don't know how much that is accurate, but he is convinced.

that's trippy as, i don't stutter when i sing but i've somehow over the years changed my stutter from the same letter or syllable repeated to a long drawn out one. Yet its still a stutter even though its more of a "note" than a repitition. Possibly i flaw the research!!
