Used to make sentences like "I love you mama", I want cookey" "i want to go home". ofcourse some time very rarly he used to repeat words like "I I" "and and" ete. But he had that fluency while talking. But from last 2 weeks I suddenly observed he is not able to make a sentece properly. He gets stuck to say something. for eg "I llllllllll......big pause and love you mama". I I I want co co co cookey" ete. Usually stuck while pronouncig wa.. la.. ete. But I am worried since he used to say those properly before and suddenly started stuttering? Is it common in this age who used to talk fluently before. Please help if anybody has gone this kind of situation. thanks

" Hi,I'm new here too. I also have a 3 year old luckily he speaks very well. But i can share with you some of my experiences. If something has happened in your family that was tramatic to him it could lead to sudden stuttering. I had gone years without really pausing when I talked and then while I was at work I got the call that my grandma had passed away, and I have been trying to deal with the stuttering and anxiety every scence. The main thing is if it is conserning you you should talk to his doctor and see what he suggests. Be patient with your son and let him know that his words are important to you and you are listening. I always felt like knowbody really cared about what I had to say, and then when I did get stuck my mom would fill in the words for me (don't think that helped the situation).Anyway I don't know if this is going to help you a lot,but hey it gave you something to read!!Take care. " I woke up one day and had a terible stutter. It was anxiaty and I ouldn't control my speech. Maybe he is nervous about somthing. Try not to make his stuttering a big deal and try to make him feel his wordfs are important to you! Do'nt worry it ould be a phase. But keep an eye on it and maybe see his doctor! "
