My Story: My Life After Brain Aneurysm

I have just completed my book titled: My Story: My Life After Brain Aneurysm. I am a brain aneurysm survivor and writing this book was extremely difficult but found it helpful and comforting. Non-paper, manual, or handbooks can ever explain what a patient and family go through in coping with the after effects of the disease. At that time, I had low self-esteem as I dealt with memory loss, physical pains, and other health issues. Depression would become extreme, urging me to take my life. I want everyone to know that patients, like me, who survive a brain injury, do not lead a normal life right away. We have to go through steps in recovery and healing. However, with therapy, support, encouragement, understanding and love from those around us, we can make it and live in peace, happiness and love.

My Story: My Life After Brain Aneurysm may be of interest to readers who are interested in real-life accounts of individuals' ordeal and triumph over the pains of brain illness.

I believe in miracles. I believe in God. Our life here on earth has a purpose, let us not waste it but embrace it. Not everyone survives a brain aneurysm. I am one of the lucky ones. I am thankful for the gift of life and this is the reason that I decided to share my story.

Thank you.

" I, too, am a brain aneurysm survivor and have been through the stages you talmention. In fact, I am also a stroke survivor. It has been 5 years since it all happened but, to this day, I struggle with the same issues; depression, health issues, etc. It has not been an easy life, but, like you, I believe in God and that I survived what I've been through because there's still a purpose I have yet to serve in this crazy world of ours. I agree with you - we are the lucky ones who survived these aneurysms; I know quite a few people who didn't make it and it is really sad. I consider myself blessed because I survived, notwithstanding the pain I wet through. Because of my faith in God, I have mde it this far and am looking forward to more of life. . . "
