my friend just suggested this as a form of treatment. i have never heard of it for stroke recovery...so i was wondering if anybody ever tried it, and did it help? or was it a waste of time and money?

The scientific studies concening this therapy say no help for stroke survivors. However, I know someone that swears this therapy has most difinitely helped his wifes recovery. This therapy is not usually covered by insurance for stroke patients. The costs are high and they must be done regulary and for a long period. Finding a HB Chamber could also be an issue.

Do acupuncture instead if it's done by a naturopathic doctor it's usually covered by insurance. It worked wonders for me even my therapists said so. Acupunture stimulates the nerves so they "wake" up.

I've had several hyperbaric oxygen treatments in conjunction with EDTA chelation IV's. I don't think the hyperbaric helped me...I know the EDTA cleaned out my clogged arteries, have before after tests tp prove it. I watched a younger man improve his gait as a result of hyperbaric at the same clinic I used.
