My Mom keeps asking me if I hear music.......... I don't. She says it's a man singing off tune. I know medications can sometimes cause this, I was just wondering if anyone else here that has had a stroke experienced this. And if I should be worried. I have not told her Dr. yet but I plan to the next visit,

" Your very welcome. It might be helpful to look up the the type of stroke she had because that can really affect the after effects, and cause different symptoms.I agree it is amazing-the brain. Also very complex.Take care! "

" Hey, you guys, have you ever heard or seen a DVD called the Brain Fitness program? Igot it from PBS and it is awesome! It might help you guys to understand a bit more about the brain and how it recovers and heals itself. Check it out from PBS. I have a couple of copies - if you guys lived closer, I'd let you borrow mine. Please take care and God bless you all!!! "

" I usually hear things, too, that no one else hears; I just try to laugh it off, otherwise I'd scare myself. It's very strange that ever since my stroke, my hearing has improved exponentially! My family always tease me that I have super hearing; oh well, it could be worse; as long as I can hear well, I'm happy with that. I'd definitely ask her doctor's opinion. Good luck! "

" It is called Musical Ear Syndrome. When someone has a stroke and/or any sudden hearing loss, they sometimes hear music or voices. My dad had a stroke in April 09, and still hears music very faintly. "
