I wanted to know is it possible for a stroke or tia not to show on a ct scan, mri or mra? i had allthese done this past month because i woke up one morning last month very ocndfused, had troulbel thikning, short term memory was real bad, slurred speech, light was killing my eyes, this has gone on for the last month, docs say no it wasnt, see i was dxd in 06 with ms and then i was told 8 months ago that i dont have it because mris have been clear the last 3 years, but the old neuro i had continuosly tested me for antiphospholipid disorder which always came back positive, and the lupus anticoagulant and all my sx fit! but rheumy says no you dont have it because i havent had a clot yet! but couldnt this have been a tia that they didnt see? i mean back in 06 they saw somehting on the spinal cord but called it nonspecific. could that have been a blood clot? a t that time i was numb on the left side and same as now confused disoriented and memory stuff. today is the first day i felt a little better. i also have been extremey moody.not like me at all.

" I recently at age 49 had a pinhead stroke called a lacunar stroke. It did me like u feel and it showed on a CT of the brain without contrast, adn I have always been medically told that TIA's never showed on MRI's or CT's so how that tiny pinhead stroke showed is beyond me. I have panic attacks also and feel all kinds of ways and have for years and always think I have had a stroke or something but all CT's tillnow have been negative, so u may be having bad anxiety. Have u had a CT or MRI with dye to see if u had a stroke?? "
