I was having very bad spells of my head spinning round and round to the point that I thought I was going to pass out. Then when I got up my left leg was none responsive. It only lasted a fes minutes.
Family doctor sent my to a Neurologist. Two MRI's showed no evidence of a stroke. I went to my Diabetic Doctor and told him my story. He said it was Diabetic Vertigo since the MRI's were negative. He put me one Mezline (sp) to help with the Vertigo. It worked. I even called my room mate in college who went on to be a doctor and he said that if the MRI's were negative, it was Diabetic Vertigo. But the kicker is that I should have immediately called 911 so the could take an MRI while it was close to my "stroke"

" I am a 49 yr old woman who has the same issue and a CT of the head revealed a lacunar infarction. Vertigo rules my life but I never heard of diabetic vertigo, but I am in a small town with notthe best dr's. I am also diabetic and hypertensive and I have anxiety atacks. I want to learn more about diabetic vertigo, and maybe if u have a Ct it will show if u have had a type of TIA like I did, though I know a MRI is better, u never know. Update me of what has happened since your posting "
