Looking For Help.....

I have epilepsy, in 1997 i suffered what he doctors called a mini stroke which left me in a wheelchair for over a year, they said i wouldnt walk again. After falling down many times i eventually got to using a walking stick, then back on my feet with a severe left sided weakness. Things were going ok, i have walked kind of strange since then...but i could get about. Its happened again, and now they are saying well you have survived this before, theres nothing we can do...to say the least im kinda shocked. Is it possible to have mini strokes for all these years? I guess im kinda looking for answers to questions but im not sure what to ask. They said that when i had my ct scan it showed too much blood flowing on one side of my brain, but that could be caused by my seizures, or it could be the cause of them...im just so confused. Any help or advice at all is very welcome.

" Have you tried seeking out a second or third opinion from another Neurologist to see what their assessment is? I would encourage you to try this. You're in my thoughts and prayers. "

" Don't listen to the doctors. You control your own destiny. If you want to get better you will. There is no greater power than the human spirit. The doctors are just going by what they read in the textbook. When I was an inpatient the doctor said I would again later my private physiotherapist said I'd walk with a cane now I kinda walk unassisted so you never know. "

" Hi I am a Brain Injury survivor x2 7 years apart and have had uncontrolled seizures for 17 of the 20 years. My MRA shows a blockage of 90% in a vessel on the right hemisphere of my brain. They cannot get to it to remove it in surgery. However I asked since my partial and partial comlex seizures were described just like TIA'S. I was told that they had to have been seizures, that that many TIA'S would have caused a major stroke years ago. Info: STROKE CENTER ST> LOUIS "
