Hi,
I just joined a little while ago not even a week yet. But I must say that there are some nice people who really take the whole support and help community to heart :) I am thinking this was a great step to take for my health and myself xoxoxo I have been doing research since 2009 about how to help my situation, I am VERY STRESSED diagnosed by multiple doctors....:( But I also know this is something you can work on and make some better, so I wonder have any of you tried:

herbals?
medicines?
exercises?
diet/food?
hobbies?
or anything else?

If so I would love to hear about it and maybe compare notes and find some help for all of us!

I pray that you all have peace, relief, and blessings :)

" I have found that cutting way down on my sugar intake caffeine intake and eating more organic stuff really helps.I also take chamomile drops in some spring water(chamomile tea in winter).I also have a few new-age type cds that instantly relax me,Enya is one.You can go to any Barnes&Noble and listen to different artists to see which sounds appeal to you. Some of the classical music with the sound of the ocean in the background are nice. " I usually try to hang out with my friends, someone who will listen to you. Or I go somewhere nice and relaxing like the local river. Music also really helps. Just positive thought! "

" I used to do puzzles a lot before I realized that I was having addiction issues with them, which has been the case with pretty much every hobby I've tried.

Like you, I'm still looking for answers...wish I something better to say but unfortunately I don't. "

" When I am in panic mode, I use the TIPP skills I learned from my therapist

T- Temperature change (ice on your neck, face, back, wrists, ect..; heating pad on stomach or back; fill up your sink with ice and cold water and dunk your face for as long as possible, repeat as needed)

I - Intense Exercise (jumping jacks, running, dancing, ect..)

P - Progressive Relaxation (breathing exercises, relaxing music/sounds, go to your "happy place"/ideal vacation in your mind

P - Paced Breathing

If you need any additional direction, message me :) "

" I talk it out or write it out. I'm big on writing, something about the fluid movement helps.

Also, my own personal savior. I have a playlist on my mp3 called Butterfly. (Because I love butterflies and associate them with happiness). It's full of "light" music. A lot of Michelle Branch. =) "

" I LOVED Stugglex's suggestions! I was thinking to myself the same thing, in that:

I - the "intense actions" are really good for winding your body down. Exhaust the body, and the brain will follow. Like swimming at the pool for an hour... the body will wear itself down - leading to more relaxation.

Strugglex...I'm totally going to rip-off those T.I.P.P. strategies! Thanks! "

" When you are stressed what does it look like? I become irritable and weepy - also, I want to hide from the world. Not great ways to receive support! So, I listen to/or play my favorite music. I walk and meditate. I don't use medication. I would be better able to support you if I knew what types of things help you feel more in control. "
