I love my husband and my Step-Kids. I had a Dog. My husband and the kids had a Dog and 2 Cats. I hate the Cats but I love them so now I have 4 kids, 2 Dogs and 2 Cats. One of the Cats will not use the litter box and likes the Carpet better. We have tried EVERYTHING. I have clean and used every product on the market. The Carpet is ruined and worse....our HOME smells like a litter box some days. 8 months of this and I have had it. The Cat is on it's way out the door. I feel like one of those wicked Step-Moms that they write books about. I have never seen a post about this so I was wondering if this is an issue with anyone else??

all i gotta say is ....the cats gotta go. i just recently had to do this myself and although it is hard cat pee is nasty and in my house ther is no room for it...we told the kids that charlie ran away..i didnt have the heart to tell them i got rid of it...they did get over it.

Has the cat ever used the box?? My cat suddenly starting using the floor and was sick with kidney failure. I started giving her IV’s every other day and she started using her box again.

Could be you need a different litter, or more litterboxes. In multi-cat households the pee thing gets crazy.
My poor fiance has had to put up with a lot from my animals (2 cats, 3 dogs, a horse) but honestly I would have dumped him before I dumped one of my pets. It's not like they're going to go to some magic happy place with a new family, especially an animal with a behavior problem. It will either be the shelter for the rest of its life or they will gas it. Sad but true.
