Kiara sat upon the wood-shingled roof. Her hands shifted about, picking at the cracks between the layering, as her eyes searched the horizon for a break in the clouded sky. Deep down, she knew it was wrong to long for someone in such a way as she did. For the feelings she with-held made her body feel foreign to her heart and mind, thus robbing her spirit of the last bit of joy she had left.
