Having a bad day

I'm having a really bad day. I'm really aggitated and nervous and wanting a smoke to calm me down. Things just aren't going good today. Nothing major, just a bunch of little things adding up. It's all actually silly in the overall sceme of things and I feel like such a loser, but I'm sitting here crying and I can't stop. Why after 2 months can this be happening?

" lilje...........
Don't worry, It will pass & you will feel much better! I keep having the same thing....I cry for nothing at all! But, I feel much better after it passes! I know at that moment it feels like It will NEVER end and each second feels like an hour, I keep asking myself and others (why am I still having all these meltdowns)....but I think it has always been the same answer: Think about how long nicotine had control over your body & mind.....We can't expect to be symptom free just cause we haven't smoked in a month or so. I guess if it were that simple Phillip Morris would be broke! Everyone would quit & stay quit if it were easy......Always tell yourself that it is the strongest ones that make it in the long run......Are you gonna be one of them???
Sure You Are!!
Cause you smell soooo nice!
And who really want's to give that one up....((lol))
Take your mind to that happy place, you will congratulate yourself later! "

" Hi ya
Have you read that post that I repost occasionally "will I miss smoking forever" In essence it explains that cigarettes are so closely woven into the fabric of our lives that it takes a long time to break those threads that have formed over namy years.
Quitting is a process and it takes time. Just as we smoked for many years (36 in mycase) and the habits we have were formed over time therfore it will take time to break down those habits and associations.
Im sorry you are feeling so low. Maybe you could try a nap or a walk or a nice hot bath or some relaxing music to help with the stress and in this way we build new associations in our minds and find new ways to deal with stress. I will repost the message I referred to and hope it helps.
You are doing great on your quit.
Hugsssssssssssss Deb "

" Lilje, being a man, I have little knowledge about what goes on with women and their moods. I can only say I hope you start to feel better and I know that you will feel a lot worst and for longer, if you light up a cig. You have done so well and I know you don't want to start over again now. All moods pass and this will pass for you too. Just talk to the other ladies here and you all should be able to get through this. You can do it, i'm sure. "

" Oh, I hope you are feeling better. Last time I quit for 9 months and those feelings do come and go. You have to learn how to relive as a nonsmoker. There will be occassions that come and go, as long as you are strong, those times will become less frequent. Good luck. Stay strong. "
