" Yup. "You've got it made now". "A piece of cake". I understand completely. It was hard to get to 30 and for some reason it feels like it's getting harder. Try telling that to that jamoke and they don't believe you.
It will get a little easier, just be patient and be strong. And try not to punch that jamoke in the nose. "

" First off, 30 days is a great accomplishment! You now realize that you can be smoke free and live to tell about it. It takes time to develop and then get comfy in a nonsmoking skin. Remember, quitting is not an event, it's a process and unfortunately there are no shortcuts. Part of growing your "new skin" is ignoring the jerks who perhaps mean well but actually have no clue as to what they are talking about. Remember that every day that you remain smoke free is a milestone and deserves a reward of some sort...even if it's taking the scenic route home or turning up that ballgame a bit louder...hee hee. Seriously, rewards are an essential part of retraining the brain to become comfortable as a nonsmoker. Rewards stimulate the brain's "pleasure center" as smoking once did so find rewards that work for you (for me it was music...bought lots of cd's and it was still cheaper than smoking) Keep up the great job! Take pride in your first 30 smober days and know that you have really begun a serious healing process for your body and for your mind. Kudos to you!!! "

" LOL Well, Congrats for 7 months and some change! You are right about how some people thing that there is this magical little moment where an ex-smoker is free of the addiction. So, newbies, what do you think??? "
