past couple of days, i was insanely busy, both days i have completely forgotten the patch. i'm a little aggitated but nothing i can't handle. just breathing and working my way thru it. but my question is that if i choose to not put the patch back on and go cold turkey, is it basically the same thing as doing hell week all over again????

" hi there
If you have forgotten to put on the patch and not noticed a great deal of difference then why bother with it. I used the patch and liked it because it seemed to take the edge off and I chose to reduce the amount of nicotine going inro my body slowly, but I have heard of other people using the patch for a few days and then never again
So do what feels comfortable for you
hugssssssss Deb "

" thanks deb. i 'll admit. i'm a little more edgy but i am keeping busy. i just don't want to slip..... and quite frankly, 14 patches are the same cost as a carton of cig's here and i'm really having to budget lately. i figure that i'm going thru a mini hell week right now. "

" I used the patch and I found some edgeness when I forgot to use it. In step 3, i would go a week and not use it and it did not seem to bother me. It all depends on what level you are on, 3,2,or1. Good lucky and if you can live without it, then save the money and stop using them. Now if you are on welubrin, that is some else. You should see your doctor when you are ready to get off that pill. " I say if you have managed without it than you have gotten it halfway beaten if now more. The habit is so much the problem I have found, more than the nicotene seems to be. Good job on your quit Sambod..sounds like you are doing wonderful. It gets easier to put out of your mind the longer you have adjusted to not having them. "

" I'm on the last week of the step 3 patch. I've worn it every day except for one day when I didn't feel good. Soon, I'm going to start the step 2 patch. If you can do it without them, I say go for it. Sounds like you're doing very well with your quit. Congrats. "

" hi i used the patch to and when i was on the lowest strengh i forgot a couple of patches and left them off, i felt fine but then i was in the last stages, so if you feel ok then carry on cold turkey otherwise if you don't feel confident enough of feel you want to smoke get back on them quick "

" The only way the patch worked for me was to stick one over each eye, that way I couldn't find my smokes

Actually, I would get demonic dreams from those patches, and you are not going thru hell week while your on a nicotine delivery nrt, hell week begins when the nicotine flat out is leaving your system, that is hell week, sorry for being so blunt "
