I'm in the navy, and they have programs to quit smoking and I went recently and they prescribed me Bupropion HCI and I was just wondering if anyone else has tried this treatment method before... Does it work? Side affects? Just wondering, I know it was prescribed and everything, but I just don't want to take something that I don't know much about... Stupid navy corpsman who gave it to me had no info on it or anything, they just told me that's what they tell them to give out, whatever that means...

Hi Brian. I'm taking Wellbutrin which is the same thing. Zyban, Bupropion, and Wellbutrin are all the same just different names. I have been quit now for 6 months taking it and I feel wonderful. I have had no bad side effects with it. Course we are all different and I know some people can't take it. It shouldn't hurt you at all. I know a 8 year old who takes it for depression.To bad they didn't give you any info on this. Go on line and you can get all kinds of info on this drug.
