" I think coming here and confessing is a great start. I was smoke free for quite a while in 2008 and somewhat active in the group, then I started smoking again secretly and fell off the face of the earth, so to speak. But a month or so ago, I came to this board and confessed. I confessed that I was a liar and a secret smoker. I had lots of great advice, and I took it. Now I have been smoke free 17 days. My best quit-buddy is actually me, who is armed with Allen Carr's book. But the buddies in Daily Roll Call are just as important. Stick with the group, and take it one day at a time. "

" Hi Raven;
Is not easy.... I smoked for 30 plus years and just stopped smoking on the 4th of July, so I feel for you. Hey, I just posted a list from the American Heart Association on the benefits of quitting smoking. Print the list, attached it to your fridge (I did) and read it everyday as a positive affirmation on why you need to quit. You will find it under;
" The Benefits of Quitting". I hope that this helps. Hugs and good luck to you. "
