Since i'm not able to quit right away i decided that im taking it slow. Instead of smoking Pall Mall wich is a bombshell of nicotine, i'm going to go with Kentucky wich as a lower level of nicotine. It's not a victory but at least it's way better than that bomb shell.

" The best thing to do is stop the addiction cycle altogether- It can be done and we'll support you. Think about it- all cigarettes are bad for you and as long as you smoke- you will never really be free!!!! "

" Hi Lia, You are so young to be so hooked to this ugly addiction. Please don't wait as long as I did. Quitting at 54 after 35 years of smoking is horrible. Try smoking 1 less dead stick each day. HappySoul is right about the 1000 other chemicals aside from nicotine that WILL kill you..Lots of luck..we are all here for you,
Love ya ,Deb "

" Hello Lia I hope changing to the milder cigarette doesnt cause you to smoke more of them, cos thats what happened to me.
Have you considered nicotine replacement therapy to help you quit. Thats the patch, gum or lozenges. I used that and I was getting nicotine from the patch and that gave me the time to deal with the psychological addiction.
If you want to try that let us know and we will talk you through how to break the psychological addiction
hugsssssss Deb "

" I agree to be careful also because I just read the "low tar and nicotine" is not low at all and may actually be more addictive with all the added chemicals. In retrospect I also wish I would have quit much sooner instead of waiting 35 years. Better yet, not starting at all would have been ideal. We will be here for you when you decide to break the addiction cycle and be free... "

" Hi Lia

You start with "Since i'm not able to quit right away". Why is that?

The only safe cigarette is one that has not been lit. There are no 'safe' brands. They will all kill you and switching to another brand is not the answer.

As Deb says, you would be so much better off if you quit now at 16 than waiting until you have damaged your body through years of smoking.

I hope you will decide to quit. "
