Well to my suprise, and joy, not counting how many days it's been has worked great for me. I have spent months trying to quit, always marking my day down and counting and signing into role call and what not.

For some reason this last time I decided not to do any of that. I don't know exactly when I quit but it's been around two weeks and I haven't touched a cigarette. Better yet, i found that I have had considerably less cravings too. I guess simply keeping it off my mind has worked well for me.

Just figured I'd stop in and say hi, and tell you all that I'm still smoke free. And also give anyone struggling to quit an alternative. Who knows maybe not counting will work for someone else. They always say, Ignorance is bliss.

" I dont count my days, Just mention my quit date as Jan 17th 2009....Counting days is tooo much for me BUT I do believe in pledging and roll calling. Otherwise, I get to relaxed with my quit and we all know what would happen to me then........ "

" Good for you redbox- however it works is the way to do it- I counted days for awhile but now I count months. I know what you mean though- sometimes it feels a bit obsessive to count the days- but its a great feeling to quit either way you do it. Be very proud. "
