First of all, stop beating yourself up. Every failed quit teaches you lessons to help you on your next quit and this time it may just be your last. Cold Turkey used to scare the hell out of me too. I just knew in my heart that I was not strong enough. Believe in yourself and you can do it. You can always do patches or gum too. Lots of people have done very well with those programs. There is no one perfect way that fits everyone. So chantix isn't for you, try a new way and play with your quit to mold it to your own personal tool. Make this a fun and very rewarding time for you in your life and feel good about it. I'm glad you are here and trying to quit again. You're doing the right thing and I'm proud of you. I'm cheering for you, you can do it!

Hi Missmel- glad to see your back- you know the drill so youre gonna do great. Maybe reread Carrs book for a bit of new motivation? I used nic. gum for my quit - have tried Chantix in the past but the side effects got me real bad. I say- do whatever method you think will work for you. You know best. Anything you decide- NRT, meds, candy, sex- its all better than smoking!!!!!
Good luck and stay close to us here for support.
