" All that sounds normal to me. Don't smoke. You'll be tired, you'll be depressed, your body will be going thru alot of changes the next few weeks. Just don't smoke. Don't give in. First week is hell week and it's the toughest but it can be done. Just remember, don't give in to smoking cause if you do, then you have to start all over again on day 1 and go thru hell week all over again..... "

" Hang in there. What you feel is perfectly normal. Tomorrow will be better and each day gets easier. After the first week it's cake! Congrats on making the choice to quit, you won't regret it. If you keep smoking you will regret it. Take care of yourself and whatever you do, don't smoke! "

" I feel for you, it sucks. It's such a horrible addiction and your mind will play tricks on you. You will rationalize why you should smoke, that's just the addiction doing it's work.

It sucks, but it will get better. If you're cold turkey the cravings will lessen about the fourth day.

Be proud of yourself, it's not easy and everyone here knows it. "

" My brain felt totally foggy when I first quit. And I remember the horrible feeling of not being able to breath right. I thought I would feel sooo much better if I would have a cigarette. But seriously, it'll just get harder to quit later.

This is normal. Really crappy, but normal. Hang in there!!!!!!!! "

" The first week I quit, I felt like I had the flu... tired, achey, heavy chest, a cough that got worse instead of better until about the 3rd or 4th day, then the chest and cough eased.
I slept A LOT my first week. I was tired and hurt, so I figured bed was the best place for me. I did drink A LOT of water, too... You know, to flush your system...
Keep your quit... Don't go back on your decission... You can do this and it DOES get easier... "

" Hang in there, it is not easy but doable and you will be glad you quit, your body is starting to heal, it is cleaning itself, it is in a state like it is fighting the flu, matter of fact a lot of people feel like the have the flu, but each day will get better and better, you will feel better and better, you are free and healing..keep it going..

I have been quit for 3 Days, 8 hours, 17 minutes and 53 seconds (3 days). I have saved $29.34 by not smoking 100 cigarettes. I have saved 8 hours and 20 minutes of my life. My Quit Date: 9/11/2009 10:00 AM "
