Advice:
Will I find a mask?
Watch this
View More Posts Ignore
I have been diagnosed w/Sleep Apnea for about 4 mos or so. I am on my 3rd mask and this one is not working either. They all seem to leak air. I just got fitted w/my 3rd mask two days ago.
I don't know how long this takes to get the correct mask? Don't know when I should ever feel alive again?
Also, because I am a mouth nose breather that it's harder to find a fit? Just very frustrating.

" Ang...You must have cruddy ins. That's too bad. I can get a mask every 3 mos. if needed. And thankfully, in Jan our co. switched to a new carrier, so I have been able to get my last 2.
I have tried a ResMed Mirage Quattro, Mirage Liberty(w/nose pillows) that's a nice one till the pressure gets higher and they come out of the nose. Now, I am using a FlexiFit432 and the same as the Mirage Quattro...leaks.
Thanks to both for caring and responding. "

" no you dont.

do u have a full face mask?
a full face allows you to breath thru mouth and/or nose so you wouldnt need a chinstrap. "

" and we are trying to tell you sometimes it takes using more than one mask to find the one you like best. if youre confused talk to the person who sent you for the sleep study and take up questions with them. we're using our opinions on what works for us best.
let them know how you sleep. are you a back sleeper, side sleeper, do you toss and turn alot? that also determines what mask would work best as well.
youre basically asking questions no one but yourself can answer. no one can tell you how long it takes to find a comfortable mask.

but i can speak for myself when i say ive had sleepapnea for a few years, had the nasal pillows, full face, nasal mask etc., diff. brands and sizes and just the past few months i found a comfortable mask for me.
i guess the easiest way is process of elimination "
