I have not posted in quite awhile but I do read the posts of others. I have a lesson to learn myself and want to share with others in hopes that our cancer worries can be reduced.
Today I had my 6 month check up. I have been worrying quite a bit about three areas on my face. It turned out that that worry should not have been driving me crasy. The Df. said he is not very concerned about them at this time. However I have a spot on my hand that I was watching but not stressing about. I thought it was just another one of the old age spots I have been getting. Well guess what? The Dr. looked at it and said it is something that needs to be checked further. So I ended up having a biopsy done on it. The feeling is getting back in my hand now so it's starting to sting a little. The lesson. .... Don't worry until you know there is something to worry about. Now the wait is on for me. He said I'll have the result of the biopsy next week. Posted on 10/13/09, 07:10 pm |

I'm trying to take my own advice and not worry until I need to worry buuutttttt. The spot where the Dr. took the biopsy has enlarged since yesterday. The area is black under the top of the skin but now since the biopsy the black part is about the size of 2/3 of a dime. I don't know what this means. I'm keeping busy and trying not to focus on it.

I hope your results are negative. It's so hard to wait. It seems like skin cancer forces us to be patient even though it drives us crazy. My best to you!
