I don't know much yet ,but the surgery went well I think .
The donor site was from behind my ear this time and ouch it hurts !
My vision is once again impaired ..lets hope for not too long huh!

Lisa its so lovely to hear from you , tell me are improvements still happening. How are you doing in this battle we all face ?
Well as you have gathered I had my latest lil'adventure on Mon 3rd ,
Ha...spectacular black eyes for my birthday which is soon ..eek.

This time it was a bit different to say the least as it is so up close and personal to my other eye ,the stitches are in the lower lashes close to the tear duct area ..a little bit sore huh !
The donor site was from behind my ear this time ,why I don't know but thats where he chose to take the skin from .It caused a few hairy moments as he then had trouble closing the wound ,the skin was breaking as he tried to put the stitches in ,so it had to be done on a deeper level over and over again ,and boy do I know it ,the ear is worse than the eye ...but thats just my luck .

Those stitches have to stay in for 2 weeks ? That seems a long time to me ,what if I start healing ,will that cause problems ? ?

I am back at the hospital on monday to have the dressing removed from my eye and those stitches out ,I then will be able to see what the graft looks like and access the damage ...I will keep you posted .

Glad to hear from you. I'm glad the surgery is done and you are on the road to healing. Are the stitches behind your ear the kind that disappear? 2 weeks does sound like a long time, but the doc probably has good reason. I hate the black eyes! I had that during Christmas time after my mohs. Not a good time of year. I guess it never is really a good time!
