I just read an article about dopamine and the effect it has on motivation. Apparently, dopamine deficiency entails complete lack of interest, non existent motivation and no ambition. I experience something like this with the chronic fatigue produced by the Sjogrens. Adderall is supposed to do something beneficial for dopamine production. Wondering if anyone is using it and what effects it has.

It's used for ADHD.
"Other uses Apart from its most typical application in the treatment of ADHD, Adderall has also been used successfully to manage severe cases of treatment-resistant depression. Individuals who show little or no response to typical antidepressants, including SSRIs and tricyclic antidepressants, are more likely to respond to psychostimulant therapy. These patients, however, are the exception rather than the norm among those with depression and this is not an FDA-approved indication. Other recognized uses include the treatment of Idiopathic Central Nervous System Hypersomnia established by recognized diagnostic criteria Drug-induced brain dysfunction Epilepsy Narcolepsy Senile apathetic behavior Psychiatric differential diagnosis of depression Obesity I don't see auto immune in there. My attention deficit is good....ask my wife. :-)
