Hey everyone I just wanted to say that we single parents are so lucky. I know it gets hard and sometimes it seems like the world is going to crush you. But on days like last night celebrating Halloween with my kids it all becomes worth it. Every moment that we spend together is amazing. I ge so angry at their father for not playing the part but then I feel sorry for him because e is missing out on everything. Its all the little things like my son saying how much he loves me or how my oldest said see will never forget last night. I am truly blessed. More than I ever thought possible.

i've been the single parent since my son was born. his dad is an alcoholic and only wants to be part of his life when its convient for him. he is immature and not ready to grow up and didnt want to be dad this soon. hes 26 yrs old. hes already walked out on my son at 3 months for 3 months because he hated having supervised visits in my home. now he wants to walk out again and is trying to get me to sign the waiver so he doenst have to pay support. the novelty of "DAD" has worn off for him.
my theory is he can walk out all he wants to. i cant force him to visit, however i can force the support order. he wants his child support order to be dropped the only way out for him is to plead guilty to sexually assaulting me and then id be more then happy to sign the waiver and make it very clear that he walks out this time, his family wont be able to see my son and he will never be walking back in again

good for you girl!!! it does get really hard at times, but like you said, times like halloween make it all worth wild! its the same with me. my husband left due to drugs and is now in prison. he missed out on our daughters first trick or treat (she was supergirl) he also is missing out on her getting potty trained. its his loss. i still feel bad that it came to this and she doesnt have a daddy, but i can love her enough for the both of us!

I have loved every minute of being a single parent to my son. He is 18 now and has left for college, so I won't see him so much. His father left us when my son was three days old and I'm glad, we were fine without him. In fact we were GREAT!!
