" im soory to hear about your lost. my suggestion would be to get some counselling for both yourself and your children as a starting point. im sure that you are all going though a lot of emotions and allowing grieving time is totally the appropriate thing to do. having your children understand what just happened and allow them time to heal and talk about how they feel is something that needs to be done as well. im not sure how old your children are, but i think that it would be a great start for the healing process "

" I too am a single dad my wife pasted away 7 years ago from breast cancer.Myson is now 12 years old.2 years ago I had my right leg amputated above the knee.I am 54 years old.We have gotten this far through a lot of trial and erorrle. After my wife passed away I moved away from all family mainly because too many people wanted a finger in helping raise my son.I would say no to something and they would do it anyway. One thing that became a life saver was the school(public) that he was enrolled in had a morning and afternoon day care.Everybody in the school knew of the situation. Some days when I went to pick up my son they would tackle me at the door to get my attention. They learned right off the bat that I would not take any bull shit in regards to my son goofing up these people where a got send. The one thing that I can advise you to do is to get a safety net in place.Find people that you can trust if you have any question e-mail me at stephenseal@comcast.net "
