Short Stature Support Group

I wanted to know if anyone else has had these problems and what they could possibly be related to... Well, my story starts - I found out at 12/13 that I had scoliosis and stopped growing at 5'3" even though my entire family is tall. Nothing fits correctly, it seems as though my arms and legs were not made for my body. Anyway, I found out that I also am deficient in my thyroid hormone. The endocrinologist also found a problem with my growth hormone. He did 3 tests, and 2 out of 3 tests showed that I had a deficient growth hormone but I cannot afford the treatment and my insurance won't pay for it. I really don't understand why all of this stuff is going on, but was wondering if anyone else had a problem with all of these hormones out of wack and scoliosis. I did have the surgery to correct the scoliosis, so now I am 5'5". The rest of the people in my family even women are at least 5'8" - so not sure why this happened to me. I don't know that much about the growth hormone if someone can send me more info about it and what it does for you. Does it cause severe muscle spasms or joint problems too? I know this sounds silly, but I am trying to find someone with a similar set of symptoms or someone to guide me to a website that can help. The doctor could not tell me more about the deficient growth hormone and why it didn't show up in the last test. This is weird -
