My son is almost 4 years old and we are working on potty training. He is the type that wants to use the big potty so we have a seat to put over the big seat. He will not sit on a little potty chair. He is also showing interest in wanting to stand while he potties. The problem is he is very short. We are investigating a form of dwarfism on him right now. He is the size of a typical 1 1/2 year old. I have to buy the smallest size underwear and sew it even smaller to fit him. He is just now big enough to use the smallest size pull ups but they still fit just a little big on him. His
preschool room is equipped with low toilets for the little ones but while all the other 3 and 4 year olds can sit on them with no help he still has to be lifted up on them. I've tried letting him stand on a child size step stool but he sways and I'm worried that he'll fall face first in the toilet. And even with the stool he's just barely able to aim over the edge of the toilet. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how to potty train a very short little boy?

You could try the Peter Potty. It is a stand up urinal for boys. Plus it is adjustable for any height. You can get them online or at walmart. Might be worth a shot to look into.
