Short Stature Support Group

yea. im almost 18 myself, and im shorter than my 9 year old brother. so yea. and like my younger sister is taller than me, so we went trick or treating, and they thought i was her daughter! it was funny, but, i still don't like it. and last year there was a rumor that i was 10 years old in the 11th grade! it was funny, i went along with it, until people started talking to me weird.

I'm 4'10" and in a wheelchair. I get carded no matter where I go even though I'm 33. Weird, huh?

I know what you mean!! I went into two resteraunts, with my parents, I'm 17 and they asked if they needed a childs menu for me! and then at the bank they gave me a little sucker!... I'm pretty offended by it actually... yea and I have 15 year olds that ask me out... hellooo i'm not about to date a 15 year old! I'm about to be MOM soooo people I'm not a little kid under 12.. thanks!

idk if this helps but give it a few yrs. I am 50 and being mistaken as younger has become a joy. And it also becomes more apparent to others that we are just short not youngsters, And as society evolves people get better about not making remarks about outside things like height. Esp. when it is apparent it is an adult.

I am 28 and every single time I order an alcoholic beverage somewhere they have asked me for my ID and look at me suspiciously like I have a fake ID! I thought this is ridiculous and even some have gone as far as asking me to recite my birthdate thinking it was a fake ID to trick me up! This is nuts. T.

Ha, story of my life, I'm 24 and look 17, 18, maybe 20, sometimes 16, guess because I'm 5'2 and have a young looking face and petite looking. I get little teenagers hitting on me, old men hitting on me, but no one my age seems to be interested, oh well, take it as a blessing in disguise, when you're older, you will love it, least that's what people keep telling me ;)

I'm 18 and I get mistaken to be 11 or 12! I'm 5 ft tall. I'm tiny-boned, so that makes it even worse! And my favorite color is pink! I get carded even buying Nyquil! LOL! I actually think it's pretty hilarious!

i am 23 and 5 ft 1. probably due to the fact i was premature weighing in at 1Ib 13 ounces anyway i constantly get asked for ID.It really annoys me.

I haven't been mistaken for being younger, but when I was junior high school, I was under 5 feet and I recall going to Disneyland and me and my friends were attempting to go on the Materhorne and they wouldn't let me go on the stupid ride. I had to just wait outside and wait for my buddies to finish enjoying their ride. Tell me that doesn't suck. And since then, my attitude is that Walt Disney, even know he's dead and aperently frozen in a cryogntic freazing chamber,him and his lame theme park can take his stupid mouse-ear smile and stick it where the sun don't shine. The happiest place on earth...give me a break!
