" I didnt know that growth hormone worked past puberty... Joshua I am 4'9 1/2 and I am definitely not growing anymore..if anything I am shrinking because of scoliosis. I have just learned to shrug peoples comments off. In the end the only person you have is yourself and I believe everyone should love who they are. What I have grown to know is that even if I was to miraculously gain 6 inches and be taller, its in human nature to then just find something else that is wrong with themselves. But in reality there is nothing wrong with being on the short side. Who says that being taller is better? Yea it may have its advantages but being tall is no more better then being short. Life is what you make of it and one of the biggest challenges is to learn to accept yourself regardless of anyone or anthing. "

" I am 3'9" and I too have scoliosis except I had a spinal rod fusion done in 1983. I am 38 years old which makes that surgery 25 years ago! GOSH! That makes me feel old! LOL I don't know what you can do to gain 4 inches but I feel like as long as you might the "right" woman she would careless about you wanting to be 4 more inches taller. I know that does not make you feel any better, believe you me, I know. However, I can understand that it is probably also harder on a man to be of short stature because the way society puts pressures on men being the "big and tall, the protector" and all that jazz and that is really too sad. One last thing I guess I could say is, just quit focusing on the 4 inches and focus on what your "strenghts" are and then your insecurity about being 4 inches taller won't show towards others as much. Good Luck!

Tammy "

" you really shouldn't worry about it. Being tall doesn't make you a man. It's how you act with other people. Maybe the world was originally made for short people. Everyone else is just too big.

In the 1700s the average person was only about 5 feet tall. "

" Hey Joshua48801!

My parents always told me that it's not how tall you are, it's the content of your character that counts.

Take care! "
