I am a babysitter to a 3 year old boy. His mother has told me she would like to start potty training him but can't find any pull ups or underwear for him.

I am looking to get advice from all of you that have gone through this or going through this now.

His mother doesn't have the Internet so I am collecting as much Info as I can on Potty Training a child with Russell Sliver Syndrome for her and myself.

Thanks for all your help and advice.

P.s I have a 2 year old girl and potty training her was easy and I think potty training him would be too his mother is just lost on where to start and where to get underwear and pull ups that will fit him.

Thanks again

" My son is 4 years old and because of his very small size potty training has been very difficult. Not because of his unwillingness, just because of finding underwear and pullup that fit and him being able to do things on his own. For pull up, we would buy the regular pull ups brand that have the velcro sides and re velcro them to make them a little smaller to stay up on him. Right now I believe they have cars on them. I use the ones with the indicaters that disapear when wet because the cool alerts just never seem to do anything for him. As for underwear, all I can tell you is to buy the smallest size available and sew the waist and legs smaller to fit them.
My son is almost 4 1/2 and is just now the size of a typical 2 year old. He has not been officially diagnosed with RSS but I believe he has it. His doctors have been stubborn and are testing him for everything else in the world except for RSS. He has most of the characteristic of RSS including all of the feeding problems. I hope this helps.
