How much are you spending? Lately my spending has been creeping up, quite often getting on for £100 per week. I don't spend quite as much on healthy food as I should, just cheap things. I also find I go to the shops and think about the things I haven't bought -mostly clothes.

" And how much do you spend money for your food? An oniomaniac has nothing to do with vegetables, or at least doesn't usually. An oniomaniac doesn't crave French Onion Soup, but rather has a compulsive disorder in which they want to buy a lot of stuff (usually useless but aesthetically pleasing or part of current trends – see also designer shoes, and this utterly stupid obsession with cellular phones) and it leads to harm. It's cutely dressed up as "shopaholic" but that's a load of malarkey. Anyone THAT fulfilled by buying shoes or a phone has problems – and besides, you buy new ones anyway and a bunch of suits are getting rich off people's ILLNESS – that isn't cute. An oniomanic has a disease that leads to loan lenders, misery, and debt. "

" I have a terrible problem. Since I have been married over 20years I have messed up our credit over 4 times, almost lost our house and now facing possible jail time. It is tough but I am living one day at a time. If you truly want 2 get better you cant do it on your own. you need help from others "

" The spending is like a drug. Your body gets ammuned to the amount so you need to spend more and more. like the amount I use to spend wasnt enough. I wouldnt get that high. "
