In the past 6 years I have spend at least 40,000.00 on junk. I can not remember 90% of what I bought. In the last 2 years I started to steal stuff. I got caught twice and spent the night in jail. My last shopping spree cost me 90.00 I bought candles and bath stuff to relax with to help me sleep better. I have been married for 20 years. And if I don't stop my spending , I will end up divorce. It has been 1 week since the last time I spent any money. Not even one dollar. I need help in staying strong enought not to spend anymore money or not to steal anything at all. I am work with a Conculor. I am doing everything he tells me to do. I really am trying to stop. I had a loveless childhood and he thinks this is my biggest problem. If anyone has any advice for me I would greatly appreicate it.

I have the same problem. Keep working with your counselor and getting the therapy you need. Recovery won't happen overnight, just like you didn't get in this mess overnight. Keep working your steps and stay away from the mall for a while.
