I am new to this group. This summer I finally realized that I have a problem with spending money and shopping. I do not feel like I have a life unless I am doing something besides sitting at home. I also hate staying at home because I feel guilty if I'm "goofing off" and not doing something "productive." This past week I have visited the mall so many times I know I am addicted. I don't even have to buy anything. I just go in and try clothes on and even if I decide not to buy them I feel more fulfulled.

I am wondering if anyone can relate.

" Margo,

I can relate to you for sure. I do the same thing with internet shopping. I bid on things on ebay. And even if I do not actually win them, I feel more fulfilled.

I realized that I had a problem when my mail man told me I give him job security. I order so much, that when the packages come I never know what's inside and it feels like Christmas.

I have actually decided to stop shopping for 21 days. Just to see if I can do it, because I am not sure that I can. I start a blog as well to document my progress, because I feel like that might help.

I completely understand where you are coming from and if you need someone to talk to just let me know!

Bunny "

" I'm thinking about taking a tennis class this fall. Also, I am going to be going back to work so I won't have so much time on my hands. What I really need to do is get to know my husband better as I feel like we no longer even know each other. "

" Ebay is dangerous. I also find myself frequently visiting the same stores in person and online even if it's just to look at all the merchandise without buying. I feel guilty and humiliated whenever I buy things I don't need yet I continue to do so because I like the feeling of having new things. "

" WOW! I understand completely!
When I get bored, I go to my favorite shop, and just spend hours trying on clothes, and then buying way to much. "
