when the pain from shingles hits your lung

I've determined that the shingles had me in mind 6/6 while I was completing an all encompassing 3-month project. Half-mast eyes clued me in that something was wrong. Bumps arrived 6/20. Seems it must have infected (on a boob) cause the pain was so bad. I found that even if I got only slightly upset the nerves bounced more and pain was a lot sharper. I found that the sensitiveness and pain halted totally while I was soaking in the tub's warm soapy water. I also found that sleeping on that side (pressure) during the night halted the pain. I was surprised to find that heat (rather than cool) helped a lot to relieve. 15 days now the pain hits the lung (front and back of body)and takes my breath away. So my main question is, will this damage the lung? What can I expect? I'm not on medication of any kind or any cream or preventative. The "Little Clinic" nurse at the grocery store said I could live thru this without any medication, as long as it didn't get up to the head. I'm worried about lung damage.

Hi, I think you have experienced acute shingles and PHN. Acute shingles always comes with sharp neuralgic pain. The blisters may go away, but the neuralgic pain stays. This can not go away naturally, you must do something to release the virus hidden in the nerves and to repair the damaged nerves. Both acute shingles and PHN are curable, if you take the right medicine.
What you are doing is trying to suppress the pain, but it can not be suppressed. What you need is right action to release it. According to my own experience, Chinese medicine is very good to cure shingles and PHN. Here in China, we have some special Chinese medicine to apply both on the skin surface and to take orally. They work well. Usually PHN can be cured within 1 to 3 months.
