Shingles diagnosed two weeks ago today. After many visits to the doc they finally figured it out. Started around right beltline and over the course of the last twoweeks got an outbreak on my right shoulder. Been under alot of stress and this akes matters worse. I have only a few sores but they keep popping up. Sometiems the area just turns red for a minuta and then goes away. Anybody else get this symtom?

Sorry you have got the shingles. I have had it where an area will go red then quiets down again, I am always relieved it doesnt continue into another sore, dont know any reason for it except that it is the virus in the body.
Hope you are on some tablets to relieve the pain & spread of the shingles. Try & decrease the stress if you can as that wont help it at all. Take care of yourself. Hugs, Sue

Hi,
Sorry about your shingles. It can be rather unconfortable and very painful as it throbs real bad. I was lucky my Dr recognised mine immediately and put me on antviral tabs which stop the spread. You need to stop whatever is causing you stres and get prescribed painkillers cause you will need them quite often till it goes. Mine was just under a month ago and i barely have any scars on my right torso (belly button to spinal cord). Also use oil based calamine lotion morning and night to relieve the itch. Stop stressing and take care of you.

Trying to avoid stress is easier said than done...I have had my shingle this go round going on 5 weeks...I'm popping hydrocodone like candy
