I am 20 years old and I was just diagnosed with shingles this past Saturday. I have a very large patch on the left side of my chin and another patch about 2 inches up on my cheekbone. But now, I have a blister/sore on my RIGHT eyebrow. I thought shingles could only be on one side of the body following that nerve? I also have one huge blister on my right index finger that is extremely painful. Could these be related? Is this even shingles? The doctor had no answers for me, so I really need someones help.

" My shingles were on the right side of my forehead, but they DID cross over to my left eyebrow, so while it's true they follow the path of a nerve, it's apparently also true they can "spread" a bit beyond that. Exactly how that happens, I couldn't tell you. Be very careful of your eyes, I'd have them checked for early signs of shingles of the eye, prevention is everything. As for your finger, I'm not 100% sure, but I'd say it's NOT shingles related. Good luck. "

" I have shingles on my right side for the most part near my beltline. I did get some minor outbreaks on the other side of my body so I guess it can happen. I know it is scary when this happens becasue of everything you read but I have read many stories where people break out on both sides. "
