Hi there, I also found warts - for me, it was 4 months back. I used Aldara (didn't like it) and finally got up the courage to go to a clinic and get them frozen off. I feel so much better since I did. I have to go back next week, cos one wart is still there. The freezing did not hurt. It was like having a zit squeezed, no worse than that. I have felt scared, depressed and like some kind of dirty victim but my doctor at the clinic was so lovely and said most people have warts at some time on some part of their body. I see so many cases of GW they are very, very common and they WILL disappear with time. I know how you feel. Things DO get better. :)

Thanks suzie yeh it was not to bad im just going to buy a cream. i feel so alone. the doctor was heartless and i felt like i was being ignored i was there for almost 4 hours . i still got some that havent fallen off. well thanks for the advice. how long have u had warts?

I have hat them for 4 months. I found my first one in March. I am so sorry to hear you have been treated like crap by your doctor. I had the same from my family doctor. I thought stuff it, I'm off to find someone who understands. When I did go the public sexual health clinic I was treated so kindly and it made the world of difference. Sometimes it just takes words of support to make the biggest impact. I am going back on Tuesday to the clinic to get the large wart frozen again. On DS I don't feel so alone anymore. And the doctor said if you could walk down the street with a GW meter and be able to see who had genital warts, you'd be amazed. You are so not alone!

wow thanks i really think u are a sweetie. i want to thank for your kind words. i have a great friend for support. she said that i should not tell my mother . i just really need some family support . do u think i should wait or never tell my mother about this. ill be honest wih you . my doctor had a good reason to be mad at me i had alot of sex w different men. but i think i should have been treated w respect. do the big warts take along time to fall off. i been gettin alittle pain in my pelvic area. and some discharge is that normal? I have lost my appetite also. do u thinks its the treatment or nerves ?

Hey Tersae, I am with your friend and think you shouldn't tell your mother, not yet anyway. But then, you do know best and if you think she will be really supportive then by all means, do it. I am as close to my mom as anything and could tell her if I had a termination even, I haven't - but I'm just saying for example. But when it comes to talking about STIs with her, nah uh. I have told a couple of friends and I use this board for support.
As for your doctor, you ABSOLUTELY deserve to be treated with respect and without jugement! It's not for him/her to treat you badly making you feel like some kinda slut. Honey, I don't care if you are a swinger, sex addict or a sex worker even, geez, who has the right to make judgement on you and make you feel bad? Men screw around and they are studs. I personally think there is nothing wrong with having a lot of partners if you are happy and enjoying yourself. Of course, you gotta take care of your health and be as careful as can be - but hey, lotsa people can get herpes, or warts and be the cleanest people with just 1 or 2 sex partners. You aren't dirty - but you do have a crappy doctor. My first doctor told me I must have been promiscuous or with promiscuous men - excuse me, doctor, your job is treat me not to jump to conclusions and pass judgement!! Luckily I went to a lovely female doctor who was just the sweetest thing and told me, everyone can get this and it's really not a big deal.
My big wart needs a couple of freezing treatments. Hopefully, it will come off in a week or two after my next treatment. Please see someone else. Even if you have little money, go to a clinic and get a 2nd opinion, cos you are worth it!
Oh and as for your pelvic pain - I can't say if it's nerves or not - quite possibly. See another doctor, hon.

Hey just wanted to add my two cents..I've had warts for about 8 months and never completely got rid of then all. I've had them removed 3 times and going in for a 4th time tomorrow for my follow up pap. I used aldara and it did nothing, I wouldn't bother with creams unless you have small ones they won't remove at the dr. I did this detox and it made my warts bigger so I have a fair amount that can be removed. I think the acid hurts a little, it doesn't when they apply it but after a few seconds it starts to burn. I would rather have that then something that hurts instantly. I had some discolored skin down there and the dr wanted to biopsy it so she had to give me a numbing shot down there. She said it will feel like a bee sting. I don't know about you but I've never been stung by a bee in my vagina...ouch! so I think having them froze off feels better then that..lol....the first time the warts she removed were gone in a week and the second time I had to go in a third time to have a few treated. My dr. said that the ones you have removed won't come back in the same place, but they will come back someplace else....I wish I could just cover all the area....I started using compound W gel and that seemed to help some. They say you can use it once or twice day but I would think you should wait some time cuz they turn white like when the dr. puts the acid on. Technically I don't think you are supposed to use compound W on genital warts...well that's what the package says..lol....but whatever works....they say after about 2 years the virus clears your system and you may never have a problem with them again. my concern is that will you still be able to pass them to some one? I know they are contagious when you have them but what about when you don't? I've just dealt with this too long and am ready to be wart free....
I told my sister and a few close friends and everyone has been really supportive. I would really like to have a guy in my life though. I think the hardest part is feeling like everyone is going to be disgusted with you..

I went to two dr.s the first one was at the public health clinic and she looked right at my wart and told me it could be yeast. Then she told me I had BV and gave me meds for a bladder infection...later when then warts looked more like warts I got a second opinion. So not only did I have warts but I didn't have BV, I had chlamydia...and then I found out I had HSV 1 also..I haven't been with a ton of people, but enough to not feel good about it. I really want to punch that first dr. in the face for misdiagnosing me. And she sat there with this stupid smile on her face like she knew something I didn't but wouldn't tell me....I would have told that dr. off. No one should assume anything about you. They are there to help you...the dr. I go to now is really nice and she just treated me like any other patient until my second appointment when I balled my eyes out in her office...after that she was really sensitive and helpful...she also assured me a lot of people go through this and my case was not nearly as severe as some she has seen which was reassuring....the only thing I didn't like was that she told me to take vitamins to boost my immune system so my body would heal the warts. well I take vitamins everyday and my warts are still there. I wish she would have given me more options.....anyway....hang in there, we are right there with you. Keep your fingers crossed that my appointment goes well tomorrow I have the cervical cancer strand too. They say 85% of cases clear on their own. I really am tired of being the minority

I am 19 and had sex with my first love whom gave me Chamydia and HPV. It was devistating. After ridding the Chlamydia I now had to deal with my genital warts. I felt so dirty and disgusting. The reality is, no one talks about it. People may walk on the street like they are fine, but soooo many people have STD's if people talked about it, the world would go crazy. I learned my lesson and will forever have HPV just like you. I only had one outbreak and ever since I have been fine, but I am thankful I did not get something worse, or life threatening at the moment.
Take care of yourself, and over time, you will feel better about it. Everything in life is a lesson, and we just have to appreciate God's warnings.

aww thanks for your words of hope . yes u dont know how i feel . im scared to death of what other things i got. im worried that i dont have have anything else. the doctor treated me like a slut . i made the mistake of telling him my sexual past. and then he didnt give me support but was adding to my worries about other stds. i got hope i feel a little nauseated and sick . tired too it must be the heat. i got a crazy itch :( dont know if its the disease or the hot weather here. i cant deal w this . i got a friend like your age. i really feel bad for you, u are prob more brave battling 2 diseases. i want to try some of those online remedies. and exercise more thats my goal here.learn to live w this. and win over this awful disease.
