i have HPV and just in the last couple days i reconnected with an old boyfriend from when i was really young, we never had sex back then, neither of us had and now that we've met back up we have both had the same amount of partners. anyways soo, were dating again and all the old feelings are coming back, even though we were very young when we first dated and last night we were just talking, catching up more and learning more about the changes in each other since we last talked and he asked me if i was "clean" and i dont blame him for asking but i didnt feel like it was the right time to tell him that so i just said "yeah." and i know i need to tell him especially since this is someone ive known for so long, i cant just not tell him. we've messed around a little since we got back together but havent had sex yet and i havent let him do anything.. to me. i just dont know when the right time to tell him is. there are other reasons i dont want to have sex with him yet and he guessed them right off the bat but he doesnt suspect this at all and i really do care for him and im just afraid he will run as soon as i tell him.

Hi Woman...
I understand what you are going through. It is really hard to tell someone what we have. It is really hard to share with someone what we have. My friends and family do not even know I have this. When I found out that I have HPV, I went directly to my ex boyfriend to tell him the truth. It is best to tell the truth even though it will be hard to do so. We will have to understand one's reaction after finding out from us.

You don't want to hear this but you have to tell him. the longer you put it off the worse. When I got herpes, I was single but I had began talking to my ex again, and I told him. It was hard, but the fact that I had known him for so long made it a little easier. If anything it just made us closer. I know it's hard but in the end it will make things better. And if he gets mad then he's not the right one.
