Herpes?

Okay not sure if it is or not.... but wondering if anyone can explaine this to me in lamens terms... i tried looking it up online but they arent answering my question...
If you have a lump next to your clit... that throbs with awul pain, and it is clearly under the skin. And depending on the day you get the sharpest pain in this lump to where you buckle over in pain and cant move. Then about 5 minutes later it stops. But only some days you get this pain.

Also, it is starting to burn inside your body like squirting lemon juice in an open wound, but inside you. I know this can only be answerd by a doctor but the thing is, I dont even know what to tell him that it might be, because several people tell me that if it were cervical caner then i wouldnt be able to see the little lumps, they would be much further up inside me. But what I have is right to right side of my cliterous and it looks like a lump caught under my skin. Anyone heard of such a thing??? Please tell me your oppinions so i can tell the doctor more then oh, i have a painful lump. I dont think that would catch his attention as much as if i said what i think it might be.

People are saying it could be herpes....
But the thing is I have only slet with my bf. he have a child together and everything. I had previous lovers before him, but they were always with protectedsex and the doctors tested me then for regular physicals.. I had nothing like this ever.

Oh, and I forgot to write, it also burns when I urinate. He has nothing on his gential area at all.... I know he doesnt nesicarily have to... but for three years of him and i being together and this week is the only week i have ever had this weird thing.

Please tell me im just paroniod.

" It sounds like you need to see your doc & tell them everything you did here. That way, you know for sure what's going on and can go from there,k. You should really be tested - at least looked at. Take care. "

" sounds like herpes to me....I experienced the same thing. is it faintly white in the center? I had a bump next to my clit and I think because that's such a sensitive area it hurt even more. Plus when you wear underwear and it rubs it's going to irritate it...does it go away or did it just appear. I went to my OB/GYN immediated when the pain started and she said it looked like herpes. she tested it and it was negative for type 2....but my blood test was positive for type 1...has your boyfriend ever had a cold sore? has he ever given you oral? that's how I got type 1 genitally....I have only had the one outbreak but it was enough for me. the dr. gave me valtrex and cleared it up in 3 days and also lidocaine to numb it....I also heard you can use OTC abreva which also numbs and medicates.... based on my personal experience, it sounds like you have what I have...type 1 is less aggressive than type 2 so you may have had it and not had an outbreak till just now...I don't even know how long I had type 1 before I found out....I would go get a blood test, but sorry to say sounds like you have it....but I'm doing a detox that is supposed to cure herpes....I'm on day 4, I'm blogging my whole experience, you might want to follow it at 48daysandcounting.blogspot.com...i hope for your sake it's not, but herpes does hurt when you urinate too "

" Hey...I'm not a doctor exactly, but allow me to clarify a couple of distinct features about HSV (herpes simplex virus). The virus is spread during skin-to-skin contact with someone who has the virus actively replicating, during the lytic cycle. (Thus, condoms are not always effective if the infected skin is not covered by the condom.) Most commonly, people feel itchy or tingling in the area. You may even experience something like a shooting sensation toward or away from the area. Since the virus usually presents as puss-filled bumps on the skin of the affected area where the virus is actively replicating, it may not be the same thing since you only have one "lump" underneath the skin. (If it's a hard lump, that's probably not herpes.) Additionally, although you've only been with your bf for some time now, herpes "hides" in our bodies (during the lysogenic cycle) until it emerges and begins replicating itself again. So you could have contracted it previously from another person without noticing until now. Go to your doc and get tested to be sure. If it is herpes though, it should go away on its own in about 1-2 weeks depending on your immune response. If the problem persists after such time frame, it could be something else. Be aware that in most standard physicals, you will not be tested/screened for STDs unless you give them permission to do so. Maybe your previous checks were not as thorough as they needed to be. Be your own advocate! Speak up and explain what's going on with your body as best as you can. Maybe writing down your symptoms for the doc will be helpful and put your mind at ease. Take care...no matter what "it" is, you can get through this. "

" I was told yesterday they think i have herpes - I have very painful blister-like lumps on my outer vaginal parts... i also have very swollen and tender lymph nodes... I was STUPID and have slept around a fair bit, sometimes without using protection... i regret this so much now!!!... but i was also told that if i had oral sex with someone who had a coldsore... this too could give me herpes... plus even with condoms the virus could still catch coz of its wide spreadness aroud the area... also that someone i had sex with may not know they had it as some people get no syptoms, or have the virus for months or years before having their primary outbreak of it!!!... its all very confusing to me... im waiting to get the test results bak now... but deffo get it checked out even 2 be on the safe side... good luck bbe i hope it turns out okay for yu!! xxx "

" I contracted herpes from having someone perform oral sex on me. Who knew! I was only 17 at the time, but something told me not to let him do it. He had a cold sore on his lip! I too was young and dumb once. The longer I have lived with this disease the more I have learned about how it affects me both physically and mentally. Different for everyone I suppose. Stress seems to be the culprit of my outbreaks. You have to protect yourself. You ALSO have to protect the person you decide to be with. That first outbreak tends to be more painful than any others you will have. Hang in there...it will get better. You have several options now to help control your outbreaks. Good luck to you... "
