Sexual Abuse Support Group

I love to writ poetry but it seems to be harder and harder for me to write in the last 3 and a bit years i guess. I still write but not as much as i used to. I also love to make movies (slideshows). I have never been able to journal good at all but i could write 5-10 poems a day from the age of 9-17ish now its so hard i think i just numbed myself more after my dog/best friend was put down. the only thing that ever knew my secret and saw it happened, when she left, i left as well. Anyways i wanted to share this poem with you....but PLEASE dont take it or use it. its really the only thing i no how to do.

Memories

Alone....asleep-
trying not to weep--
as all the memories start to seep out.
trying to figure out why all this can happen to a little defenseless child so innocent and pure.

One that can't escape from the pain
a child may survive
but they never forget

As flashbacks get vivider,
the pain of it all comes rushing back
the memories, smells never fading
and life is like watching a person you don't know grow
but your not connected to them.
even though that person is you.
