Wow. NBC chose to not air the FULL impromptu interview with Bob Costas when this all started unfolded, saying they were short on time. Bull. I just heard the part that was left out. Jim Rome just played it. Sandusky says (among other things) that not ALL the boys had physical contact with him, or something to that effect, and if you get to hear it or read it, you can tell that he completely exposes his guilt in all this. This new admission should help nail this BASTARD.

" Regarding Chris's comment in reply #3, I feel you've hit on a big part of the issue--when do you ever read that anyone is charged with failure to report child sexual abuse &/or failure to protect a child??? Our FORMER best friend knew our sons were being molested, and decided it looked consensual and it was none of our business, even though it started when they were 15 by a teaching assistant who was 8 yrs older. Our "friend" admitted this to us once we foiund out and later questioned him about it. Once my sons reported, the police questioned our "friend" and he denied seeing very much, was caught lying to detectives, changed a few details several times, but he wasn't charged.

In NJ, we have no mandatory reporter list, but the statute reads that everyone is considered a mandatory reporter and even if they just suspect any form of abuse may be going on, they are to report it.

Until these statutes are enforced, my guess is that a significant % of child sexual abuse instances that could be stopped will continue, and offenders will not be held accountable.

Hopefully the Sandusky case can increase awareness to the authorities that they need to either charge people who keep silent in order to get others who know something to start reporting, or start educating people to what the reporting laws are in their state--I'm sure some states should have their laws changed. " I am currently seeking support to make it a national law for anyone to report, and no statute of limitations (nationwide) on criminal charges being filed against offender. Please see my blog at

" I was walking out of coffee shop. New York times reports that Slimedusky is found guilty ----right next to the article of Church officials get busted for not reporting preditors. Saturday was a good day for children.
It is about time!!!!!!
I am only sorry that his son came forward a tad too late for legal consideration. It would have been the icing on the cake for the case and the son. "
